Thomas J. Edelman, Chairman
Thomas Edelman brings to BioFuel Energy a distinguished record of successfully managing public companies in the energy field. In 1996, Mr. Edelman founded Patina Oil & Gas Corporation, serving as its Chairman and Chief Executive Officer until it merged with Noble Energy in mid-2005. He has also co-founded and/or led Snyder Oil Corporation, Bear Paw Energy, and Range Resources Corporation. Mr. Edelman holds an MBA from the Harvard University Graduate School of Business and a BA from Princeton University.

Scott H. Pearce, President and CEO
Scott Pearce is the Chief Executive Officer and a co-founder of BioFuel Energy. He previously served as President and CEO of Poseidon Resources Corporation, a leader in partnering with energy companies to build and operate water and environmental systems for large industrial and government clients. Prior to that, Mr. Pearce served in various leadership positions in the US Army, including attack Helicopter Pilot and Troop Commander, and attained the rank of captain. He holds an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management and a BS of Engineering from Auburn University.

Daniel J. Simon, Executive Vice President and COO
Daniel Simon is a co-founder and the Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of the Company. He comes to BioFuel from TIC Holdings, where he served as a Vice President in their International Group, in addition to leading their renewable energy development efforts. Prior to that, Mr. Simon built and led the Technology Solutions Group in the Asia Pacific region and Western United States for NCH Corporation, a leading industrial and maintenance conglomerate. Mr. Simon received a BS from the University of Colorado.

Kelly Maguire, Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
Kelly Maguire joins Biofuel Energy as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. He brings to the table exceptional experiences in corporate finance management from several Colorado based organizations. His professional experience includes 8 years as the Chief Integration Officer and Chief Financial Officer for Pendum, Inc. – a national ATM service provider – where he was responsible for overseeing customer data for revenue dispatch systems, and managed and directed the revenue and information technology departments. Prior to that, Mr. Maguire was the Chief Financial Officer for Golden based TMJ Implants where he was responsible for overseeing and managing the entire finance department. Beginning his career, Mr. Maguire spent 10 years at Deloitte & Touche where he was responsible for managing audit engagements and audit services staff. Mr. Maguire earned a BBA in Accounting from the University of North Dakota.

Tim Morris, Vice President, Operations
Timothy S. Morris has been our Vice President of Operations since February 2007. From January 2006 to February 2007, Mr. Morris served as CEO of American Ethanol, Inc., a private ethanol productions company. From 2005 to January 2006, Mr. Morris was an independent consultant, providing operations management expertise to various companies in the ethanol and other continuous process industries. From 2002 to 2005, he served as Vice President of United Bio Energy, LLC, overseeing the operations of multiple ethanol plants. From 1993 to 2002, Mr. Morris served as Plant Manager for a wet corn ethanol facility of Minnesota Corn Processors, LLC. Between 1981 and 1993, he served in various capacities at Coors Brewing Company, Manna Pro Corporation and Cargill, Incorporated. Mr. Morris received a BS in Feed Science and Management from Kansas State University.

JonAlan Page, Vice President, Project Development
JonAlan Page comes to BioFuel Energy from Baard Energy, a leading ethanol plant developer, where he was Vice President of Project Finance and Planning through the Company's sale. Prior to Baard Energy, Mr. Page worked at Enron's Western U.S. Origination as a Director in the Transaction Group. Mr. Page began his career at Banco Santiago. He received a BS and BA from Oregon State University and an MBA from the University of Notre Dame.
